St Sebastians Church in Dorset

Our Pastor and Priest is the Revd. Paul Burrows-Gibson.

Between 2003 and 2005 Paul was Pastor of St Sebastian's in Winchester, where he established an Inclusive Christian Church that became popular and successful and worked heavily in the community in which is served. After much prayerful thought and consideration, Paul rose to the challenge of ministering to the diverse international community in Gran Canaria.

During his time in Gran Canaria, he established, what is now known as a market leader in inclusive style religious and spiritual weddings for all nationalities. He also started a thriving wedding company there and this grew to an extent that everyone wanted him to conduct their weddings and blessings. He also undertook a wide variety of ministry on the island including those involved with immigration, tourism and a significant amount of ministry to the LGBT community in Las Palmas.

After Five very busy but successful years, Paul made the heart-rending decision that it was time to move back to the UK and continue to minister to a larger and more diverse community in Hampshire and to continue to expand his original ministry.

Paul writes " moving back to my roots and to the original foundation of my ministry has been a step that I have taken after a lot of careful thought and consideration. The time is right to move back, although many have said I must have lost the plot to exchange sunshine throughout the year with the British weather! I now return with renewed vigor, scope and a sound ministry in which to move forward in a more inclusive world where everyone should be treated as one without discrimination and where Christ and his Church should be united and not divided. This new journey is exciting and challenging and I look forward to meeting new people and offering them a warm welcome into the affirming arms of God and his welcoming ministry"

Revd Paul will soon be joined by further Inclusive Priests to cover the whole of the South Coast of England.
